Unlike the manual saws, it is no longer necessary to pull down on a handle to move the blade through the piece being cut. On the semi-automatic models, the head descends and retracts automatically after pressing a single button. This reduces operator fatigue resulting in faster cutting times, longer blade life and more accurate cuts.
