Best lock 2P74 filing cabinet lock / best core
This is a new, old stock Best Lock filing cabinet lock, Model 2P74. The 2P series incorporates the Best interchangeable core feature for locking filing cabinets.
This particular model features a horizontal mounting slot. The use of this lock on a filing cabinet requires that the normal mounting hole on the cabinet be enlarged to accommodate the 2P74. The use of this lock on a filing cabinet allows it to be masterkeyed into a Best lock masterkey system, thereby reducing the number of keys one must carry.
