this pump came from a local printing company and was part of the spare parts for the various presses...

Operation is similar to standard centrifugal pumps, except the impeller is driven with a magnetic coupling, eliminating the need for a shaft seal. Magnetic drive pumps must be used where flooded suction exists. Typical applications include film processors; laser and X-ray cooling systems; medical, scientific and laboratory equipment and silver recovery equipment.
these are slick pumps... there is no physical contact between the motor and the pump assembly...large magnet mounted on the output shaft of the motor...
pump assembly spins freely.....
these pumps are designed to operate with a head... no suction...
appears to have 3/4 MPT input to 1/2 MPT output
