I really hate to call this unit "used". This GENUINE JFK AMERICAN MADE 5C PRODUCTION LEVER TYPE COLLET CLOSER came with our early 1980's REPUBLIC LAGUN 14" X 40" metal turning lathe and was hardly used. It is missing the main handle (easily fabricated from 1/2" steel round bar stock, thread one end 1/2"-13 and add plastic handle to the other end and you're done) and the two pins which hold the swing joints together (another easy fix as headed pins or bolts could be used here). This is a complete unit with indexing ring (24 holes) with threaded outboard spindle mounting hub and bracket swing joint that mounts to the lathe head. Collet draw tube is 22 1/8" long from edge of the shoulder where the male thread is threaded into the female thread in the shorter tube which goes through the housing / ball bearing assembly out to the end that has the female threads that mate with the 5C collet. I have completely cleaned up, oiled and repainted all brackets on this unit and it looks and functions like new!!!!

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CALL THEM AND FURNISH SOME BASIC MEASUREMENTS THEY WILL TALK YOU THROUGH FOR YOUR MAKE, YEAR AND MODEL LATHE AND THAT'S IT!!! THEY HAVE CROSS REFERENCES OF MAKES, YEARS AND MODELS OF LATHES AND HAVE MADE 5C COLLET CLOSERS FOR JUST ABOUT EVERY LATHE EVERY PRODUCED.
