The SAA7020 detects and corrects error in digital data recieved from the demodulato. The data is received serially in frames of 32 x8- bit symbols and after processing, is transmitted in a 16bit serial format to the interpolating and muting circuit. An error flag is generated t warn of data in which errors have not been corrected.
