The Type 42SRP Proximity mini-sized self-containing photoelectric control provides a means of detecting small objects at short range while ignoring background surfaces some distance away. The wide optical field-of-view permits detection of small objects such as syringe needles or even thread, over a wide area. It does not require that the object being detected be precisely located at a focal point. Instead, it is only necessary for the object to be within the relatively wide field-of-view.
