Eaton utility reel trailer, holds 2 reels, great shape
This is a reel hauling trailer. It is designed to haul and hold reels of electric, water, or other types of hose and line. It is in good condition and is ready to be used.
I bought this trailer from a local electric company that used it to hold electric line. It holds two spools and has jack stands on the back so it can be used stationary to allow you to unroll the line as needed.
There is a tag on it that reads:
The trailer is 15 feet. six inches long. It is 8 feet, 1 inch wide. I do not know what it weighs, but it pulled fine behind my one ton pickup to get it home. I pulled it home 30 miles and it pulls great.
The trailer has nice wide flotation type tires so it should be better than some on soft ground. The tires do not have a lot of tread, but are fine for trailer tires and they hold air fine. They are size 15-19.5's.
The trailer has a newer semi landing gear style tounge jack. It is really heavy duty and has a spring retracted foot - nice!
There is a tool box mounted on the tounge. It is 3 feet wide, 12 inches tall, and 12 inches deep.
I did not hook it up to a air brake truck, so I could not test them, but the brakes all look newer. They are air brakes and have newer lines and fittings on them. There is a valve on the tounge that I believe allows you to lock the brakes even if the trailer is unhooked so it stays in place.
The lights on the trailer all worked fine.
It has a heavy duty pintle type hitch.
The trailer has 2 1/4 metal shafts that hold up the reels. They are in good condition. You can tell they took good care of the trailer and kept it well greased. There are locking clamps that you can adjust so that different width reels can be locked onto the shafts so that you can center the wire coming off the reels as needed.
This is a really well built, heavy duty trailer. It is ready to be used.
